Your Right to Deletion

Under the Tanzania Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2022, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. Kubwa Technologies Ltd (“Kubwa”) is committed to honoring these requests promptly and transparently.

What Gets Deleted

Your account profile (name, email, phone number)

Delivery addresses and location history

Order preferences and saved favorites

Payment method details (card tokens are destroyed)

Push notification tokens and device identifiers

Chat and support conversation history

Age verification records

What We Must Retain

Certain data is retained as required by Tanzanian law:

Transaction records & receipts

Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) — 5 years

Age verification audit trail

Tanzania Liquor Act compliance — 3 years

Financial ledger entries

Tax and accounting regulations — 7 years

Retained records are anonymized where possible. Personal identifiers are removed while preserving legally required transaction data.

How to Request Deletion

In-App Request

Go to Account → Settings → Delete Account. This triggers automatic deletion.

Email Request

Send an email to privacy@kubwa.io with the subject “Data Deletion Request” from the email associated with your account.

Support Chat

Contact our support team via the Support page and request account deletion.

Deletion Timeline

Within 24 hours

Account deactivated, data access revoked

Within 7 days

Personal data purged from active systems

Within 30 days

Data removed from backups and caches

You will receive email confirmation at each stage of the deletion process.

Third-Party OAuth Data

If you signed up using Google or Facebook, deleting your Kubwa account removes all data stored by Kubwa. To revoke Kubwa's access to your Google or Facebook profile, visit your respective account's connected apps settings.
