Our regulatory framework

Kubwa Technologies Ltd operates under the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. We are committed to full compliance with all applicable regulations governing liquor distribution, data protection, consumer rights, and financial transactions.

Liquor Licensing & Age Verification

All vendor partners on the Kubwa platform hold valid liquor retail licenses issued under the Intoxicating Liquor Act (Cap 77) and its subsequent amendments.

18+ Strict Enforcement

Every order requires age verification. Delivery riders are trained and required to verify customer age via government-issued ID (NIDA, passport, or driver's license) before handing over any alcohol. Orders are refused and refunded if age cannot be verified.

Kubwa does not hold liquor inventory directly. We operate as a technology platform connecting licensed vendors with consumers. Each vendor is independently responsible for maintaining their license.

Data Protection (PDPA 2022)

We comply with the Tanzania Personal Data Protection Act of 2022 (PDPA), including:

Lawful basis for processing personal data
Explicit consent collection for data processing
Right to access, correction, and deletion of personal data
Data breach notification within 72 hours
Cross-border data transfer safeguards
Appointed Data Protection Officer (DPO)
Regular data protection impact assessments

Opt-in self-exclusion feature for customers seeking to limit purchases

Rider & Vendor Standards

Vendors Must:

Riders Must:

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

Kubwa Technologies Ltd is incorporated and operates under the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from the use of our platform shall be governed by Tanzanian law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Republic of Tanzania.
